Adobe Premiere Pro 2026
Adobe's flagship timeline editor in its 2026 form, with the rebuilt media engine, caption workflow, and colour management that the studio release ships, packaged to install and open without any account step.
Live visual performance software with the full projection mapping and edge blending toolset, built to drive multiple outputs onto surfaces that are not flat rectangles.
Overview
Arena is the larger of the two Resolume applications and the one used when the output is going somewhere more complicated than a single screen. Everything the standard version does for live visual performance is here, and on top of it sits the mapping engine that lets a projected image be shaped, warped, split, and blended across whatever surfaces are actually in the room.
The performance side works as a clip grid. Video files, still images, generative sources, and live camera inputs all sit as clips in a matrix, and you trigger them by column and layer. Every clip has its own effect chain, playback behaviour, and blend mode, and everything is assignable to a controller so the whole set can be performed from hardware rather than a mouse.
The mapping engine is what earns the price. Output slices can be warped onto curved and irregular surfaces, multiple projectors are edge blended into one seamless image with soft edge control and gamma matching, and a mask can be drawn around anything that should not receive light. The mapping stays independent of the content, so a show built on one venue's geometry moves to another venue by remapping rather than rebuilding.
Synchronisation is thorough. The clock locks to an audio input, to a tempo tapped by hand, or to a timecode feed from the show control system, and clips can be tied to that clock so visuals stay in step with the music without anyone watching them. Audio analysis drives parameters directly, so an effect can respond to a frequency band in real time.
This build installs the complete application with the full effect set, the codec support for the high performance intermediate formats that live playback depends on, and the mapping engine. Nothing streams in and nothing checks a licence at launch.
Feature set
Warp output slices onto curved and irregular surfaces, with masking for anything that should stay dark.
Multiple projectors combined into one seamless image with soft edge and gamma matching controls.
Video, stills, generative sources, and live camera inputs triggered by layer and column with per clip effect chains.
Locks to audio, a tapped tempo, or an incoming timecode feed so visuals stay in step unattended.
Live frequency analysis driving any effect parameter directly rather than through a preset.
Every control assignable to hardware so the full set can be performed without touching the keyboard.

Questions
The mapping engine, edge blending, and the additional output handling are what the Arena designation adds.
As many as the graphics hardware presents. Practical limits come from the adapter rather than the software.
The high performance intermediate codecs. Delivery formats decode too slowly for reliable live triggering.
Yes. The mapping is stored separately from the content, so a new venue means remapping rather than rebuilding the set.
