Adobe Photoshop 2026
The complete 2026 raster editor with the full generative model set switched on.
The raw processing engine that sits underneath the rest of the imaging family, packaged as a standalone plugin update with the complete camera and lens profile set already included.
Overview
Camera Raw is the layer where a photograph is actually decided. Exposure, white balance, tone curve, lens correction, and noise reduction all happen here on the original sensor data, before anything is baked into pixels, and every adjustment stays reversible because the raw file itself is never modified. Everything downstream is built on what happens in this dialogue.
The masking system turned it from a corrective tool into a full editor. Subject, sky, background, and object selections are generated automatically, they can be added to and subtracted from each other, and each mask carries the complete adjustment set rather than a reduced version. Combined with the range masks for luminance and colour, most local work no longer needs to leave the raw stage.
Denoise is the other reason to keep this current. The current pass cleans high ISO files convincingly while holding fine detail, and the result is written as a new raw file rather than a rendered image, so the rest of the adjustment chain continues to work normally afterwards.
This package updates the plugin across every installed application in the family at once and includes the complete camera and lens profile collection, which means recently released bodies are recognised without waiting for a separate profile update to appear.
Feature set
Every adjustment is stored as instructions beside the file, so the original sensor data is never overwritten.
Subject, sky, background, and object selections generated in a moment, each carrying the full adjustment set.
High ISO cleanup that preserves detail and writes a new raw file so the rest of the chain keeps working.
Starting points that respond to the content of the image rather than applying a fixed curve to everything.
Distortion, vignetting, and chromatic aberration handled automatically from the bundled profile collection.
Sync a full adjustment set across an entire selection, with a choice of which settings carry across.

If the body was released before this profile set was assembled, yes. Otherwise convert to a generic raw container first.
