Overview

What this release is

Enscape's approach is different from a standalone renderer. It installs as a plugin inside Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, ArchiCAD, or Vectorworks, and a single button opens a live rendered window beside the model. Move a wall and the rendered view updates immediately. There is no export, no scene setup, and no separate file to keep in step.

That immediacy changes when rendering happens in a project. Instead of being a presentation step at the end, it becomes something running alongside the design work, which means material and lighting problems are caught while they are still cheap to fix.

The asset library covers the furniture, vegetation, people, and vehicles needed to make a space read as inhabited, and assets are placed directly in the host application so they stay with the model rather than living in a separate scene file.

Output covers stills, panoramas, walkthrough videos, and a standalone executable that can be sent to a client who has none of the software installed. Virtual reality headset support is included for design review sessions.

Installation

How to install it

Install your modelling application first. Enscape attaches to what it finds during setup.
Extract to a short path with real time protection disabled.
Run setup as administrator and select which host applications should receive the plugin.
Apply the included licensing step before opening the host application.
Open the host application and confirm the toolbar or ribbon tab appears.

Before you start

The toolbar did not appear after installation.

The host application was probably not installed when setup ran. Run the installer again and select it.

Does it work with linked Revit models?

Yes. Linked models render as part of the scene, though the first load takes longer.

Can a client view the walkthrough?

Yes, through the standalone export, which needs no software installed on their machine.

Why do materials look wrong?

Host application materials are translated automatically. Override the important ones through the Enscape material editor.
