Overview
Mastercam is the software that turns a model into instructions a machine will actually run. It is used in more shops than anything else in its category, which means the people who can program it are easier to find, the post processors for almost any controller already exist, and the toolpath strategies have been refined against real cutting rather than in theory.
The dynamic motion toolpaths are the reason people upgrade rather than stay put.
