Autodesk AutoCAD 2027
The drafting application that the DWG format was built around.
The digital sculpting application that treats a model like a block of clay with unlimited detail, in its 2026 release, with the full brush set, the polygon and hard surface tools, and the render engine included.
Overview
ZBrush works nothing like the rest of the 3D world, and that is exactly the point. Instead of pushing points and edges around, an artist sculpts a model the way a sculptor works clay, pushing, pulling, pinching, and carving the surface with brushes while the program carries a level of detail that would bring a conventional modeller to a halt. For characters, creatures, and anything organic, it has no real rival.
The reason it can hold that detail is its own way of storing a model, which lets a mesh carry tens of millions of polygons and still respond to a brush in real time. Detail is added in layers that can be dialled up and down, so the broad forms and the fine pores live on separate levels and either can be adjusted without disturbing the other. That non destructive detailing is what makes the high frequency work possible.
The toolset reaches well past organic sculpting. The hard surface brushes and the boolean system build mechanical shapes, the polygon tools handle base mesh construction, and the posing and rigging features let a finished sculpt be moved into a pose for presentation. The bundled render engine produces presentable images directly, and the model exports cleanly to every other application in a pipeline.
This build installs the complete brush set, the material and render tools, and the full feature list rather than a reduced edition. The licensing step is applied before the first launch, and it runs offline from that point.

Questions
Not a powerful one. The sculpting engine runs on the processor, so clock speed and memory matter more than the GPU.
Not required but strongly recommended. Pressure sensitive sculpting is far more controllable than a mouse.
Yes, cleanly, to every major application. The tools include options for producing usable topology on export.
The polygon count has exceeded what the memory can hold comfortably. Work in layers and reduce the active subdivision level.
