1.1.1.1 WARP VPN by Cloudflare

The lightweight tunnel client built on top of the public resolver, packaged with the unlimited tier behaviour so the transfer cap and the throttling step never come into play.

Version 2026.6.905.0 94 MB Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) Updated 1 week ago

Overview

What this release is

This is not a conventional region hopping tunnel and it is important to understand that before installing it. It encrypts traffic between the machine and the nearest edge location, which stops the local network and the connection provider from seeing what is being requested. It does not present the machine as being in another country, and services that check location will still see roughly where you are.

What it does very well is speed. The tunnel is built on a modern protocol with a small handshake, the edge network is large enough that there is usually a location within a short hop, and on many connections it measurably improves latency rather than degrading it. Most tunnels cost you a third of your bandwidth. This one frequently costs nothing.

The resolver underneath it is the other half. Lookups are encrypted, they do not sit in a log that gets sold, and the filtering variants block malware domains or adult content at the resolution stage without a client side blocker. Switching between the plain, security, and family resolvers is a single toggle in the client.

This build has the paid tier behaviour applied, which removes the monthly transfer ceiling and the throttling that follows it, keeps the faster routing path enabled permanently, and leaves the device connection limit off, so the same profile can be used across several machines without a queue.

Feature set

What you get

Modern tunnel

A small handshake protocol that frequently improves latency instead of costing bandwidth the way older tunnels do.

Encrypted resolution

Lookups leave the machine encrypted, so the local network cannot read or redirect them.

Filtering modes

Malware and adult content filtering at the resolution stage, switchable from a toggle in the client.

No transfer ceiling

The monthly cap and the throttling step after it are not applied in this build.

Split routing

Choose which applications and address ranges bypass the tunnel, which keeps local network devices reachable.

Small client

Sits in the tray using very little memory and reconnects on its own after sleep or a network change.

Changes in this build

What changed

  • Faster reconnection after a network change or a resume from sleep
  • Split routing rules extended to match on process name as well as address range
  • Reduced battery use on laptops during long idle connections
  • Updated the bundled edge location list for shorter first hops in several regions
  • Fixed the adapter conflict with certain third party network filter drivers

Installation

How to install it

  1. Remove any other tunnel client first, since two virtual adapters competing for the default route rarely ends well.
  2. Extract the archive and run the installer as administrator.
  3. Allow the network adapter driver when Windows prompts during installation.
  4. Enable split routing before connecting if you need printers or network drives to stay reachable.
  5. Do not let the client update itself, since a stock build restores the transfer ceiling.

Questions

Before you start

Can it be used to appear in another country?

No. It encrypts the path to the nearest edge location and does not offer country selection.

Does it slow the connection?

Usually not. On many connections it is neutral or slightly faster because of the routing path it uses.

Will it conflict with another tunnel client?

Yes, if both are connected. Only one virtual adapter should hold the default route at a time.

Does the filtering work outside the browser?

Yes. Filtering happens at the resolution stage, so it applies to everything on the machine.
