Overview

What this release is

KMSAuto++ is the utility most other releases quietly lean on when a Windows or Office installation needs its licence state sorted out. It runs from a single window, detects what is installed, and completes the activation in one pass without asking the user to understand what is happening underneath. For a technician working through a stack of machines, that speed is the entire appeal.

The program is fully portable. Nothing is installed, no service is left running, and deleting the folder returns the machine to exactly where it was apart from the licence change that was requested. That property is why it lives on service sticks rather than on the machines it is used to service.

Manual mode is what separates it from the simpler activators. When the automatic pass does not take, and on locked down or unusual configurations it sometimes does not, the manual controls let the licence key, the management server address, and the renewal task be set by hand. The information panel reports the exact edition, channel, and current state before anything is changed, which is where experienced users start.

Because it schedules a periodic renewal task to keep the licence current, antivirus software treats it as hostile on sight. That behaviour is normal for activation tooling and is the reason the instructions begin with disabling protection and adding a folder exclusion.

Installation

How to install it

Disable real time protection completely and add a folder exclusion before extracting.
Extract the archive to a path with no spaces or non-Latin characters in it.
Run the program as administrator.
Read the information panel first to confirm the edition and channel on the machine.
Run the activation, let the renewal task register, and reboot when it asks.

Before you start

Why does antivirus delete it on extraction?

Activation tooling is behaviourally identical to what those products are built to catch. An exclusion is required before extracting.

Does it need to stay on the machine?

No. It is portable and can be deleted after the renewal task is registered.

What is the difference from the automatic pass?

Manual mode lets the key and management address be set by hand for configurations the automatic pass cannot read.

Does the activation lapse over time?

The renewal task keeps it current. If it is removed, the state expires after the standard period.
