Overview
What this release is
The problem this solves is circular and infuriating. A freshly installed machine has no network driver, so it cannot reach the internet, so it cannot download the network driver. This package sidesteps that entirely by carrying every driver on the media, which is why it is as large as it is and why technicians keep a copy on a USB drive permanently.
The scan identifies every device by hardware identifier and matches it against the local collection. Nothing is fetched, nothing is queried remotely, and the whole process completes on a machine that has never seen a network. On a laptop with a dozen unknown devices in the device manager, it takes a few minutes rather than an evening of searching.
The expert mode is the one to use. The default mode installs everything it thinks is appropriate, including software that has nothing to do with drivers, whereas expert mode lists exactly what will be installed and lets you deselect anything unwanted before it starts.
Coverage runs from very old hardware through current chipsets, which is why it remains useful for reviving older machines where the manufacturer's support pages disappeared years ago. Create a restore point first as a matter of routine.

Installation
How to install it
- Extract to a USB drive or a local folder with at least 30 GB free.
- Disable real time protection during extraction. Scanning a collection this large takes a very long time otherwise.
- Run the executable as administrator and choose expert mode rather than the default.
- Create a restore point before installing anything, particularly on a machine that currently works.
- Deselect any bundled software offered alongside the drivers, then start the installation and restart when it finishes.
