BLUESYSTEM

KMSOffline

A one click licensing tool for Windows and Office that works entirely offline, with no network component, no installation, and no scheduled task left behind afterwards.

Version 2.4.7 24.8 MB Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 (32-bit and 64-bit) Updated 4 days ago

Overview

What this release is

KMSOffline exists for the situation where the machine has no network connection and nothing that talks to a server is going to work. Everything it needs is inside the executable. It runs, it applies the licensing, and it is finished, usually in under a minute, without ever opening a socket.

The interface is a single window with a list of what it detected and one button. There are no options to weigh up, no modes to compare, and no configuration to get wrong. For most people this is exactly right, and it is the reason this tool gets recommended to people who do not want to think about the subject at all.

Coverage runs across Windows editions from the version 7 era through the current release, and Office suites from the 2010 generation onwards including the click to run installations, which many older tools handle badly or not at all. Both architectures are supported by the same executable.

Nothing is installed. The program is a single file that can be run from a stick, and when it closes there is no service, no scheduled task, and no residue in the startup list. That is a deliberate design choice and the main difference between this and the tools that install a renewal task in the background.

The detection panel reports what it found before you press anything, including the edition and the current state, so you can tell whether there is anything to do at all. A log is written beside the executable for anyone who wants to see exactly what happened.

Feature set

What you get

Fully offline

Everything needed is inside the executable, with no network connection required at any point.

No installation

A single portable file that runs from anywhere and leaves no service, task, or startup entry behind.

One button

A detection panel and a single action, with no modes or options to weigh up.

Wide coverage

Windows editions from the version 7 era onwards and Office suites from the 2010 generation, including click to run.

Both architectures

The same executable handles 32-bit and 64-bit systems without a separate build.

Readable log

Writes a log beside the executable recording exactly what was detected and what was done.

Changes in this build

What changed

  • Support added for the current Windows and Office builds
  • Detection panel reworked to show the current state more clearly before any action is taken
  • Improved handling of systems where several Office versions are installed side by side
  • Reduced the time taken on machines with a large number of installed product keys
  • Fixed the failure on systems where the licensing service had been stopped by a third party tool

Installation

How to install it

  1. Extract the archive to a folder outside the system directories.
  2. Add that folder to your antivirus exclusions before extracting, since tools of this type are flagged by category.
  3. Right click the executable and run it as administrator.
  4. Read the detection panel to confirm it found the right edition before pressing anything.
  5. Close the program when it finishes. Nothing needs to stay on the machine.

Questions

Before you start

Does it need an internet connection?

No. That is the entire point of it, and it is the right choice on a machine that is not yet connected.

Does it install anything?

Nothing at all. It is a single portable file and leaves no service or scheduled task behind.

Why does antivirus remove it?

Licensing tools are flagged as a category rather than by behaviour. Exclude the folder before extracting.

Does it work on click to run Office installations?

Yes, which is where several older tools of the same kind fail.
