Microsoft Activation Scripts

An open source activation toolkit built entirely from readable scripts rather than a compiled binary, covering the current Windows and Office licence methods from a single console menu.

Version 3.12 2.6 MB Windows 8 / 10 / 11 Updated 2 days ago

Overview

What this release is

This toolkit takes a different approach from the compiled activators that fill the category. Everything it does is written in plain scripts a person can open and read before running, which is exactly why the more cautious end of the technician community favours it. There is no opaque executable doing something out of sight, only a console menu that calls the methods openly.

The menu presents the licence methods separately rather than trying to guess. The digital licence path handles current Windows client editions and persists across reinstalls of the same hardware, while the volume method covers the editions and the Office families that support it. A status option reports the current licence state and the applicable method before anything is changed.

Because it is script based, it leaves almost nothing behind. It is run from a folder, it does its work, and closing the console returns the machine to how it was apart from the licence change requested. That property, together with the readability, is why it appears on service sticks alongside the heavier toolkits rather than in place of them.

Antivirus software flags it the same way it flags every tool in the category, because the behaviour is indistinguishable from what those products are built to catch. The instructions therefore begin with an exclusion, which is required before the archive will extract intact.

Feature set

What you get

Every operation is a readable script rather than a compiled binary, so nothing runs out of sight.

Digital licence

The digital path activates current Windows client editions and survives a reinstall on the same hardware.

Volume method

Covers the volume licence editions of Windows and the Office families that support it.

Status report

Reports the current edition, channel, and licence state before any change is made.

Portable

Runs from a folder, writes no service, and leaves the machine as it was apart from the requested change.

A single numbered menu selects the method, with clear prompts at each step.

Questions

Before you start

Why does antivirus software remove it on sight?

Its behaviour matches what those products detect. A folder exclusion is required before the archive will extract.

Does the digital licence survive a reinstall?

Yes, on the same hardware. The licence is tied to the machine and reapplies after a clean install of the same edition.

Does it install anything?

No. It runs from a folder and can be deleted afterwards without a trace.

Which method should be chosen?

Run the status option first. It reports the edition and channel, which determines the applicable path.
