WinRAR Professional
The archiver that half the internet is packed with, with recovery records, solid compression, and multi-part splitting, licensed so the reminder window never appears again.
A lightweight second layer scanner built to sit alongside your main protection, focused on removable drive infections and the shortcut hijacks that main scanners routinely miss.
Overview
Smadav is not a replacement for a main scanner and does not pretend to be one. It is designed to run alongside whatever you already use, taking almost no memory and no meaningful processor time, and covering the specific gap that main scanners handle poorly: infections that travel on removable drives.
That focus is why it stays installed on machines that pass files around on flash drives constantly. The moment a drive is connected it is scanned, and the particular family of nuisances that hides folders, replaces them with shortcuts, and copies itself onto every drive it touches is detected and cleaned in seconds. The tool also restores the hidden folders rather than just removing the infection and leaving your files invisible.
The footprint is genuinely tiny. The installation is a handful of megabytes, memory use sits in single digit megabytes, and there is no background scanning engine competing with your main protection for file access. Two full scanners on one machine usually fight; this one is built specifically not to.
Alongside detection there is a small set of practical repair tools. Registry entries that infections commonly damage can be restored, the task manager and registry editor can be re-enabled after being disabled, drive contents can be unhidden in bulk, and running processes can be inspected and terminated from a list that shows more detail than the built in tools do.
The Pro configuration in this build enables automatic definition updates, the faster scan engine, the customisable scan scheduling, the exception list, and removes the advertising panel from the interface.

Questions
No, and it is not meant to. It covers a specific gap and is designed to run alongside a primary product.
It is built specifically to avoid that. Adding each product to the other's exception list removes any remaining friction.
Yes in this configuration. The Pro state enables the automatic update schedule.
It carries a targeted definition set rather than a general purpose engine covering every threat category.
